Channel Your Inner Dick

Richard Nixon. Man of the people, selfless patriot, lady killer, Republican President, generally great guy. In law school, Dick was nicknamed "Iron Butt" because he spent so much time studying in the library. We here at Stuff do not condone that sort of devotion. You should go to class, not pay much attention, maybe do a few practice problems, then cram come mid-July. I assume this is what Barbri recommends as well.

Despite his questionable performance in law school, Dick turned out just fine. You should take some tips. Who did you hate in law school? Can't remember everyone off hand? That is because you haven't made a list. Shame on you. Have you never heard "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"? How can you follow this cryptic advice if you are not even sure who your enemies are? Making lists is a generally great idea during Barbri. An enemies list is a good place to start.

Do you remember everything people say to you? If not, you need to take another great idea from Dick. Secretly record all your conversations. This will allow you to go back, and analyze all of your interactions with others. This should help you understand what people really wanted to say, contribute to the rumor mill, and, most importantly, find reasons to add to your enemies list. Modern technology makes recording even easier than it was in the days of Dick. You may even want to go a step further, and use video. There is no way this can come back to hurt you.

Determine what the people really want. Most people don't vocalize what they really want. Instead, only the crazies make themselves heard. Despite their silence, Dick understood what most people wanted. You should do the same for those around you. Your recorded conversations will be useful here. So will your list of enemies, because you can assume that most people will disagree with whatever the people on your list support.
