Per the grape vine allegedly originating in the Massachusetts Superior Court, results of the Mass bar will be mailed tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26. I figured it would be nice to share.
Hey -- remember that UCC Question that started the second half of the exam?
EDIT (10/26, 7:13 AM): We trust our reliable source, but some in the comments don't. Decide for yourself.

omg im so f#$(#(in nervous
ReplyDeleteme too!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete:( :( :( :( :( :( :(
ReplyDeletejust woke up from a nightmare (possibly reality) that I missed a contracts law issue on the MA bar. Was there one? OMG HELP ME! :-( :-( :-(
ReplyDeleteGrape vine rumor is false. Confirmed Mass is mailing results out on October 28, 2010.
ReplyDeleteYes. Mass is sorting and posting mail today, October 26, 2010, and will have them in the mail by October 28, 2010.
ReplyDeleteNo contracts that I saw...
ReplyDeleteSo does everyone get their MA results on different days?
ReplyDeletehas it be confirmed that it's going out today?
ReplyDeleteAny idea when they are posted online? Concerned that mail forwarding may take forever...
ReplyDeleteYes, everyone gets their results on different days via mail and then a couple of days later, it's posted on the board's website. I've known people who found out online before receiving their letters! :-o
ReplyDeleteI called the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners this morning, and the woman told me that results are being mailed next week. Therefore, everyone should enjoy this week and the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI work in the BBE and know for a fact that due to record low passage rates they are delaying sending out results until suicide prevention hotline flyers are printed up and included with the mailings.
ReplyDelete"I work in the BBE and know for a fact that due to record low passage rates they are delaying sending out results until suicide prevention hotline flyers are printed up and included with the mailings."
ReplyDeleteAWESOME.
That is some fine internet troll work. I mean, wouldn't it take all of 20 minutes to print up a thousand or so suicide prevention flyers?
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteIf the original tip was correct, people in the Boston area should see the results in their mailboxes tomorrow, right? Guess we'll know soon if that tip was correct.
ReplyDeleteI tend not to believe whatever the BBE would say on the phone. These are the same people who have been saying the results come out on November 15 every year, when in fact they've reliably come out the last week of October.
Got my MA Results in mail at my law firm in Boston on October 26, 2010. Passed!
ReplyDeleteFlame
ReplyDeleteRe: "Got my MA Results in mail at my law firm in Boston"
ReplyDeleteSomeone from our class is actually employed... as an attorney??
Everyone who actually passed knows the mailings were received on Monday. People still waiting obviously didn't pass.
ReplyDeleteThe BBE will not mail results to the office address, they will mail it to the home address provided in the application. now we know you are lying.
ReplyDeleteNothing in the mail today in Beacon Hill area, Chelsea or Braintree. Wouldn't count on the results today.
ReplyDeleteJust remember, small envelope means you fail
ReplyDeleteyellow paper in envelope = FAIL.
ReplyDeleteI live in Back Bay. Mail man doesn't get here until mid afternoon. Waiting...
ReplyDeleteJust got mine out of the mailbox! It says I passed. It also says you didn't. Tough break.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you like
ReplyDelete*live
ReplyDeletethe BBE does not want people calling them to ask when results will be mailed - so they are feeding BS. Results went out yesterday, will be received today if you live in MA.
ReplyDeleteand how do you know?
ReplyDeleteI live in the South End. Mail came ... no bar results. If they were mailed yesterday I really think they would have arrived today considering the proximity.
ReplyDeleteBlog Credibility Fail.
ReplyDeleteTHIS BLOG IS TTT
ReplyDeletewhat is ttt?
ReplyDeleteyes, blog credibility fail. unsubscribing.
TTT = Third Tier Toilet
ReplyDeleteSometimes it takes longer than a day for mail to get to its destination (even if it's in the same city) depending on the time it was mailed. DUH.
ReplyDeletewell then we would have at least one person post somewhere to say he received his results.
ReplyDeleteWorst. Hoax. Ever.
ReplyDeleteIf Back Bay didn't get it today, nobody got it today.
ReplyDeleteBack Bay here: NO RESULTS. Other friends in close proximity to BBE: NO RESULTS. BLOG = HOAX
ReplyDeleteNo results in Beacon Hill either.
ReplyDeleteI love that the MA BBE decided to move offices during the month of October. I'm betting that at least 1 person's official result letter will get lost in the fray.
ReplyDeleteHere is the best I can do....http://www.sjccountyclerk.com/index.html
ReplyDeleteSo if the earliest date is November 22, and they want to notify you within 3 weeks, the latest we will get result letters is November 1st.
So it is probable that results were mailed this week, at sometime, but that is no gurantee.
For anyone who says they called and spoke to a person, are these the same people who when you call to ask a simple question about the application they get huffy, frustrated and transfer you three times before hanging up???
where on the site does it say that notification of ceremonies is intended to be within at least 3 weeks?
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I found it:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.sjccountyclerk.com/ceremony.html
"Approximately three weeks prior to the ceremonies, the applicants will receive notice of their date and time to appear for the ceremony."
That is an impressive catch!
it'll come next week.
ReplyDeleteSince the "grapevine" was clearly full of it, I demand said source be outed so we can properly direct our scorn at them.
ReplyDeleteLast year most people got them on the 28th, so lets see what happens.
ReplyDeleteAnyone receive mail today?
ReplyDeleteWord is it is a no go today as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Back Bay and my mail should come any minute. Will let everyone know.
ReplyDeleteword from who? where are all these words coming from? at least give where you're hearing from instead of "word"
ReplyDeletethank you to the person who posted at 11:25
ReplyDeleteI haven't got my mail, but a friend got their mail and it wasn't in there about 20 minutes ago.
ReplyDeletejust called BBE office, lady told that results were mailed out this morning!!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when results will be posted online?
ReplyDeleteI just called and confirmed the same. Results were mailed today
ReplyDeletedon't you think that no matter what day you called this week they would say, yes the results were mailed out today, just so you won't call them again at 9:01 tomorrow morning? these are the same people after all who are insisting the results come out november 15
ReplyDeleteAm sure I failed. Contemplating suicide but don't know how to do it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to everyone!!! No matter what happens, just keep on thinking positive... everything in life happens for some reason which most of the times, we don't get it....trust me everything always happens for our good!!!! You will know yourself in life sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if we get our MBE scores with the results?
ReplyDeleteno I don't think that no matter what day I called they'd say that because yesterday when I called, they said they were not mailed.
ReplyDeleteso where is tomorrow's circle jerk located?
ReplyDeleteIt has to be VERY soon because the swearing in ceremonies start Nov. 22 (SJC Clerk's web site) and the description of the ceremonies says that you get notice of when your date is about 3 weeks from the ceremony, which means that the results MUST be coming out today or Friday (probably Friday so they can be closed when people get their results on Saturday to avoid a barrage of phone calls).
ReplyDeletedid anyone actually go to their mailbox and not see a letter? thats all that matters
ReplyDeleteI live in a close suburb to the city - nothing in the mail today
ReplyDeleteI am the 11:25 Back Bay guy. Nothing in the mail today. Yes I actually went to my mailbox, got the mail and while Domino's is offering some nice specials, the MA bar has sent me nothing.
ReplyDeleteNote: http://stufftododuringbarbri.blogspot.com/2010/10/have-mercy-on-ma-board-of-bar-examiners.html
ReplyDeleteAll I got in the mail today was a BET tv flier. I think this is god laughing at me and my anxiety from above. but whoever made a post about the circle jerk tomorrow, please lemme know the details, i'll gladly photograph. anything for a little extra cashflow these days...
ReplyDeletei'm pretty sure the circle jerk and the suicides should be done in your law school lobby so as to confuse and concern current students.
ReplyDeleteJust think...if the BBE understood the concept of e-mail we would all have our results already.
ReplyDeleteThe results were mailed October 28, 2010. Metro Boston arrivals are 10/29. Rhode Island and Islands expect to get them 10/30. 2,100 potential new lawyers and 100 job listings this month....
ReplyDeleteWho at BBE said results were mailed 10/28?
ReplyDeleteMA came today and I passed.
ReplyDeleteNow i am underemployed, Yay!!! (until I am let go then i am unemployed or "self-employed" because as lawyers we are never unemployed, we are self-employed looking for a better situation)
Anyone in CT get their Mass results today?
ReplyDeletefor the people who got their letter before 10:00am, do you mind telling me where you live?
ReplyDeleteI am trying to see when I will get mine.
Got mine today in Springfield. Good news. Good luck to all and keep your head up if it is a different result for you. Remember, it is just a test, offered again in 3 mos.
ReplyDeleteAny idea when the results will be posted online for those of us who live out of state?
ReplyDeleteJust to further confirm for anyone waiting, bar results are out. I received mine in the inner suburbs a few minutes ago.
ReplyDeleteGaawwd bless Passachusetts! Ahhhhhhhhh......(small fart)
ReplyDeleteIf/when you get your results, please post where you live! I'm out-of-state (but close to MA) and waiting for the mail is killing me!
ReplyDeleteNewton, MA
ReplyDeleteStill waiting
for the ones who got the mail? small or large envelope?
ReplyDeleteGot it in Brighton, MA by 11am. Passed. Small envelope with a green RSVP form for the swearing-in ceremony.
ReplyDeleteDo people not know what time their mail arrives? Mine comes at the same time every single day....like clockwork.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Worcester abd got my results at 11:30
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should run this blog considering I appear to have the correct info...:

It's somewhat irrelevant where you live (beyond MA vs. CT or RI, for example). I'm in Brighton and someone 100 feet away could be on a different mail route with totally different timing.
ReplyDeleteGot results in Coventry, Rhode Island today.
ReplyDeletehas anyone in NY heard?
ReplyDeleteAnyone that lives in NH find out yet? I have to wait until tonight to check the mail!!
ReplyDeleteI live in NH and it didn't come today...
ReplyDeletenothing in the mail in NY
ReplyDeleteNewton MA
ReplyDeletegot the results today at 1 pm. Passed.
To those that passed or failed - what kind of envelope (size, color, etc) means success or failure?
ReplyDeletePass was regular size whitish envelope, very thin. Two papers-a white letter and a green rsvp sheet for swearing in.
ReplyDeleteI live in Worcester also. No results today.
ReplyDeleteI live in Newburyport, MA and i found out this morning that I Passed.
ReplyDeleteResults made it to some places in VT today
ReplyDeletedo they send the failure results later? Please let me know if this is the case
ReplyDeleteI passed and it arrived at my apt. in NYC today:)
ReplyDeleteJust read this thread. I can't believe these are my fellow attorneys. Most of them are so immature, crass, crude and distasteful, self-absorbed and full of it.
