Stalk an MBTA Bus

Do you have a favorite bus (66? 57? 1?)? A favorite bus driver? Do you have a boring, old, non-smart phone, or a smart phone with no games (not even solitaire?!? how do you live?!?) to keep your caffeine-addled brain occupied?

Unless you haven't tried to take an MBTA bus yet, you know that the bus schedules are a malicious prank played on tourists and freshmen. You have checked the bus schedule and found out that the bus is coming in 10 minutes. You have waited 10 minutes (you have solitaire on your smart phone).

Approximately 30 minutes later, you realize that by now it probably would have been faster to just walk, but you've already spent 30 minutes waiting for the bus so what's another 10 minutes?

An hour later, you get on the bus. Solitaire games won: 3. Solitaire games lost: 40.

If only you had been able to stalk your beloved anticipated bus, your desire to get as little physical activity as possible would not have left you vulnerable to this heartbreak and disappointment (and incessant tardiness).

Start celebrating, because NOW YOU CAN! The good folks at MBTA released a real-time feed, and some enterprising computer geeks are making magic happen.

Click the drop-down menu to select your favorite bus and stalk away!
